TFP Writes Words

TFP has played some games recently: Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Gran Turismo 7, Rune Factory 4 Special

Hey, I'm TFP, cohost refugee and occasional writer. This website looks like exactly what I'm after in terms of "I just want a thing that hosts long-form text things with little-to-no nonsense" so... guess I'll be here for a bit. Back on cohost I'd type up stuff about some things I had been playing lately, and I'm going to continue it here.

Anyway, I can count the number of Bioware games I've enjoyed on one hand, and they're probably not necessarily the ones you think. Case in point: Dragon Age: The Veilguard is one of them. I really didn't like Dragon Age: Origins or 2, but I did end up liking Inquisition quite a bit. The Veilguard feels kind of similar, blending solid action and interesting role-playing, along with some really neat and fun characters. I've been having a great time.

Gran Turismo 7 started out a lot of fun, but as I approached the end of the single player campaign, essentially, it got brutally difficult in ways that were just irritating. I understand that you want to give the player a chance to overtake and such because overtaking is fun, but some of the later championships I was setting fastest laps every lap but was still completely unable to make it to first, even with the difficulty turned down to easy. This became INCREDIBLY annoying when I had to start in 20th place, while the person in the championship that I was tied with started in 1st place.

Myself and a group of other people started playing Rune Factory 4 Special lately. For some of us (me included) it was our first Rune Factory, and I've been enjoying it. I tend to focus more on the farming aspects of the Rune Factory/Story of Seasons-style farming sims than some of my friends do, so I've been really focusing on farming/exploration at the expense of relationships with the town, which is probably ill-advised but I dunno, I'm having fun. I'm basically three "bosses" in, and approaching the end of the first month of the game.

Anyway, that oughta do it for this introductory post. I'll be back at some point with some other things. Who can say.
